Since the early 20th Century, the Akubra Military Slouch Hat has been a distinctive part of the Australian Defence Force uniform. During both World Wars, this hat was supplied to the Australian Military.

Over 80% of Akubra's entire production was devoted to the Army Slouch in WWII. Still today the Slouch Hat is proudly worn by our Military, serving their country.

Soldiers wear the left side of the hat turned up to avoid catching their rifles on the hat's brim during military parades.
